Toronto producer XI is part of a second generation in London's dubstep community that is challenging dubstep's familiar formula with the sounds of UK garage, 2-step and house. XI is signed to Berlin's Hotflush Recordings, one of the leading labels pushing dubstep sounds into new territory. XI's music is defined in large part by his use of darker atmospherics and 2-step syncopation.
