Feathers is a psych/post rock band from Miami, Florida that attempts to emulate the sounds and ambiance of the fabled 1960s bachelor pad. Comprised of a trio of musicians who also head up the band's more generally recognized counterpart, Comic Wow, Feathers is already starting to successfully transport audiences to an almost futuristic vision of the hip, masculine epitome of 1960s leisure. Given that much of indie rock's allure is fueled by bringing to the surface a latent sense of nostalgia in listeners for the popular music/culture once enjoyed by their parents, Feathers not only pulls this off with aplomb, but manages to successfully tweak it to its own original ends.
