The brainchild of a long-standing friendship between creators Mark Nasser and Nancy Cassaro, Tony n' Tina's Wedding has left its mark on Off-Broadway theaters and extended its reach nationwide. After premiering in 1988 in New York City, the play continued to run for 11 years, grabbing the attention of critics writing for major publications such as The New York Times and Time magazine. In the unique audience participation-based story, a wedding takes place between lovers from two distinct families where the cast assumes each person in the audience is a member of their family. Together, the cast and audience eat, drink and celebrate Tony n' Tina's Wedding, a show that is consistently regarded as the wedding of the year.
