Based out of Toronto, Canada, 4th Pyramid is a hip-hop artist who is heavily-inspired by the underground rap coming out of the American label, Definitive Jux in the 2000s. His work as an emcee, a DJ and a producer has pegged him as a sort of jack-of-all trades in the Canadian rap scene and led him to collaborations with notable artists such as, C-Rayz Walz, Cannibal Ox and Pete Rock. In his production work, 4th Pyramid is fond of forming loops pulled out of jazz records and using Middle Eastern and other world music samples. His rapping style is a little more aggressive and unorthodox, however, occasionally drawing comparisons to Def Jux stalwart, Aesop Rock.
