Screeching Weasel

Legends of the pop punk scene for over 25 years now, Screeching Weasel has become synonymous with the genre. Now famous punk institutions such as Warped Tour, Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords owe plenty to the band that has been instrumental in keeping The Ramones' knack for short, punchy punk rock and catchy hooks alive. The band formed in the suburbs of Chicago in 1986, and despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, lead singer/guitarist Ben Weasel has kept the band active, resurfacing with new albums or tours from time-to-time to help show the up-and-comers how it's done. First World Manifesto--Screeching Weasel's first new album in 11 years--was released in 2011 to commemorate the band's 25th anniversary.
