Holly Conlan is an indie-pop singer/songwriter who has been making a name for herself in the Los Angeles music scene since around 2005. The daughter of a classical composer, music was a big part of Conlan's life from an early age. She began taking piano lessons, theory and composition classes as a child, which led to a passion for penning her own material. She released her eponymous debut LP in 2005 and began touring to establish her blend of mellow folk and quirky, upbeat pop in a crowded Los Angeles songwriter scene. Conlan did indeed turn some heads, and soon was singing backup for successful local artists such as Gary Jules. In recent years, her music has become a popular pick for use in films, commercials and television shows.
