Pill is a rapper born and raised in the projects of Atlanta. This tough upbringing ignited an interesting dichotomy in the nature of his raps that makes him an interesting figure in the modern Southern rap scene. Pill, unlike many in hip-hop, doesn't so much boast about himself as he does thank the world for his career and success. Along with this positivity, however, he is also quick to offer his thoughts on society's ills, and is specifically outspoken about the treatment and lack of housing for America's low-income families. Musically, Pill is inspired by both the street-savvy beats of East Coast hip-hop and the idea-packed style of fellow Atlanta rappers, Outkast.
