When you're the son of one of the San Francisco Bay Area's premier rappers, the path to a career of your own might come a little easier than for others. Luckily, Droop-E (son of E-40) has the skills to back his privileged pedigree. The Vallejo-based rapper blends modern trends such as hyphy and crunk together will the soulful, slinky bassline-driven style of 80s slow jams to create a style dissimilar enough from his father's to stand on his own two feet. Droop-E produces tracks as well, impressively debuting with work on a Turf Talk track when he was only 15. Droop-E has already made a name for himself at a young age and has worked with the likes of Messy Marv, Mistah F.A.B. and DJ Shadow.
