Robert Ross, or Black Rob as he is more commonly known, was first signed with Diddy's Bad Boy record label, and was featured on a multitude of popular hip-hop tracks in the late 90s. In 2000, he released his debut album, and eventually and the record went platinum. However, Rob's success was short lived when his criminal record caught up to him and he refused to show up for his court date in 2006. He was sentenced to jail for seven years. In 2010, BET interviewed Rob just two hours after being released from incarceration. Among the topics discussed, Rob talked about producing another album of East Coast gansta rap and touring.
