Dead Sara is a collaborative project between longtime friends, Moxley Armstrong and Siouxsie Medley. The Los Angeles band is highly influenced by 90s alternative rock and grunge, as well as some of the female-fronted indie punk bands of that era. Armstrong in particular is an engaging performer and possesses a versatile voice that can go from an angry and confrontational growl to a melodic falsetto on a whim. Armstrong and Medley recently decided to add a drummer and bass player as full-time members, leading to debut EP, The Airport Sessions, in 2010, some six or seven years after the two began performing together.
