YDESTROYDE

Formed in 2000 by a trio of classmates in Osaka, Japan, YDESTROYDE was an outlet for the students to experiment with sound programs on their laptops. After adding two more members, the band began performing live and received quite a bit of attention on the Osaka underground scene for its aggressive art punk full of experimental loops, Japanese screaming, sloppy guitars and terse drumming. Though the band has since slimmed down to the solo project of front-man Synzo, who occasionally has backup at live shows, YDESTROYDE's hard-hitting sound has remained the same and continues to draw attention.
