Xenia Rubinos

Xenia Rubinos is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter of Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage. All three of these cultural influences shine through in her avant-pop music. Shifting from Spanish to English, often mid-sentence, and drifting from ethereal pop vocals to post punk chanting, Rubinos' diverse voice acts as the primary instrument in her music. Also incorporating tinkly piano, sporadic drumming and the occasional use of toys and synth, Rubinos' music is as quirky as it is colorful. Rubinos has impressed audiences throughout New York with her live energy and knack for drama, thus marking her as a live act to behold.
