TRE9 is a hip-hop musician from Houston, Texas who's experiencing unprecedented success as one of the front-runners of the ever-expanding Christian hip-hop movement. Divinely inspired at an early age to follow his vision/mission to make so-called positive hip-hop popular, TRE9 consciously extracts the apparently socially-objectionable content that he and his followers feel plagues the hip-hop genre in favor of words and grooves that aim to please God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost in all their glory. So far, TRE9's attempts to popularize his own special brand of non-explicit hip-hop that celebrates the honesty of agrarian living--as he does in his third studio album The Farmer--has almost virally gained for him a substantial fan base, as well as multiple awards from distinguished organizations such as Atlanta's Holy Hip-Hop Awards.
