Sicilian singer/songwriter Fabrizio Cammarata sounds more like an American who happened to travel a bit after college, backpacking around the Southern states, Northwest and Caribbean, picking up the musical style of each locale along the way. Despite this evident penchant for the music of the Americas, Cammarata and his backing band - who perform under the moniker The Second Grace - were born and bred in Palermo, Italy. The band's style jumps around from desert folk to more pop-based love ballads to Afro-Caribbean beats, which might not provide the most cohesive repertoire, but does fit well with the likes of American indie staples Devendra Banhart and Iron & Wine, who The Second Grace toured extensively with.
