Formerly The Elephants, Tacoma, Washington-based quartet The Nightgowns has quickly become one of Washington's indie darlings. With its unpretentious jangle pop tinged with synth, the band has won over Seattle music critics and DJs, garnering consistent name drops from prominent indie radio stations KEXP and NPR. With its quirky live performances that generally involve drunken antics and instrument trading amongst band members, the band has won over locals across its home state. While the band might not be well known outside of Washington, with time and more touring, The Nightgowns will undoubtedly build a more national fan base.
