The Mighty Stef

As the title of singer/songwriter Stefan Murphy's project might suggest, The Mighty Stef is not a humble or meek effort. The Dublin trio, based around Murphy, is instead a brash, Irish folk-rock band. Offering up Nick Cave-esque raspy vocals that spin yarns and scoff at death, Murphy is just as much a storyteller as he is a musician, lending a sense of melodrama to The Mighty Stef's musical efforts. After forming in 2004, The Mighty Stef immediately took to the road, winning over fans in every corner of the world.
