The Jacka is a rapper from Pittsburg, California whose initial foray into hip-hop as a member of the Pittsburg-based group Mob Figaz earned him and the crew a minor hit on the hip-hop Billboard 100. Unlike many of his contemporaries, The Jacka as a solo artist takes a more grassroots approach to getting his music out there, ensuring that he retains as much artistic control over his music as possible. So far, given the amount of success and exposure he has achieved thus far, The Jacka has proven to many that if you have the talent, anyone can get out on the street and get people interested in the music you have to offer. Tragically, The Jack was shot to death in East Oakland in 2015.
