The Free Keys is a hard rock band originally from Tehran, Iran, but now based in Brooklyn, New York. When the band formed in Iran, they began by performing underground concerts which were forbidden by Iran's government. The band soon left the country and released their self-titled debut EP in 2008. The quintet today has added a progressive rock element to their music, with live sound manipulation performed on their music live and in the studio.
