The Blind Shake is a garage rock band fronted by brothers Jim and Mike Blaha, who play guitar and baritone guitar respectively. Complete with drummer Dave Roper, the three-piece outfit owns a surf-tinged, minimal punk style that it has cultivated over several records, starting with 2005's Rizzoraph. From the 2009 EP Soft Zodiac to the 2011 LP Seriousness, The Blind Shake toured the US meticulously between records, playing any basement and bar that would host its music. With its relentless tour regime, the group earned a massive national following that has only grown with each subsequent release, particularly after adding punk veteran Swami John Reis into the mix.
