By combining elements of industrial rock with electro-goth, Vancouver-based band, Sex With Strangers, has carved out a unique niche for itself with a sound that manages to be both sinister and dance-friendly. The group released its debut EP, A Future Tragedy, in 2007, and the recording helped establish Sex With Strangers as a band that's willing to take chances with its sound, even if it means isolating its fan base with foreboding songs. Though the band uses a lot of electronic elements in its sound, it also manages to employ live instrumentation, adding to the overall dynamic of its stage show.
