As a professional soccer player with no experience with an instrument or writing songs, Danny Bemrose never had any intentions of becoming a musician. The English-born Bemrose kicked for Huddersfield Town F.C. and was a noted talent on the field, until he broke his foot in an unfortunate accident. With his professional athlete job in the can, he had a lot of time on his hands so he started to play an old guitar that had been hanging around his house. His minor infatuation with playing the guitar bloomed into a fully-fledged musical obsession, and soon Bemrose was writing songs on a regular basis. After receiving accolades from other musicians, Bemrose decided to start a band with like-minded collaborators. The group, dubbed Scars On 45, plays a characteristic style of radio-friendly alternative folk that has resounded well with individuals who enjoy listening to mainstream pop music.
