Sarah Jeffe is a singer/songwriter folk artist from Denton, Texas. Her early work debuted in 2007 with a self-released EP that was well-received and critically-acclaimed both locally and in a couple of national publications, including Rolling Stone. Jaffe creates sparse, emotional folk tunes that often drift by with an almost ambient quality that draws a lot of deserved attention to her beautiful voice. Gently plucked acoustic guitar is the mainstay in her songs, but she'll often employ other musicians to add touches of accordion or strings. Jaffe's music has a discernibly reflective, almost meditative quality to it that has won her comparisons to famous female singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell.
