Poetry 'n Lotion

Florida-based rock outfit, Poetry 'n Lotion, attempts to keep the instrumental jam band genre alive by incorporating a myriad of influences into its sound. Typical of the style it plays, the four-piece approaches rock music with a jazz-oriented mentality full of time signature changes, offbeat accents and heavy improvisation. Poetry 'n Lotion attempts to set itself apart, however, by incorporating a wider array of styles than some of its contemporaries. Metal guitar riffs, exploratory psychedelia and some tinges of country sneak in from time to time, keeping listeners on their toes as to where a song may be headed.
