Oh Ruin is the stage name for (and pun on the last name of) Eoin O'Ruainigh, a folk singer/songwriter from Dublin, Ireland who is seen as one of the few remaining musicians in the world carrying on the troubadour tradition. Oh Ruin is a powerful presence on stage, and has become somewhat of a folk sensation in the UK, and more recently, as far as New York City--known for effectively transporting audiences back to a simpler and more beautiful time and place. Like the fabled troubadours of yore, Oh Ruin's particular style thrives on the simplicity of performing with only his guitar and voice, relying on his own musical skills and inner passion to express himself without the aid of technology.
