NYCO is an indie pop/rock band from Chicago that's looking to become a "classic" rock band in its own right. Led by former Chicago Symphony Orchestra percussionist Ted Atkatz, NYCO is comprised of some of Chicago's finest musicians, and despite their backgrounds in classical music, the skill and interpretive mastery these musicians bring to the table could catapult a band specializing in any genre to critically acclaimed stardom. Though NYCO is just beginning to realize its potential as a band, multiple music publications, including the New York Times, have already proclaimed this band as a one-of-a-kind "classic."
