Spells

Austin, Texas-based group Spells (formerly Moth Fight) is an experimental noise and pop group consisting of an unknown quantity of members, although the original formation as Moth Fight definitely had more than one member. Moth Fight has been around since 2007, and now as Spells the group seems to be associating themselves with the nascent experimental music genre called "witch house." That association aside, the members have been navigating gothic, dark, and noise-ridden territory long before the current zeitgeist of witch house came oozing in. It's no telling what Spells may do with a new niche, but they seem to be playing up all the connotations on their tumblr account.
