A gifted vocalist, guitarist and fiddle player, Canadian performer Molly Rankin has settled comfortably into a solo career that combines easy-to-love singer/songwriter folk and indie pop. She was raised in Nova Scotia, where music played a huge part of her upbringing. Her aunt and uncle spearheaded a group known as The Rankin Family, which was comprised of several of her cousins, throughout the 1990s. In 2007, Molly herself joined a reunited version of the group and toured Canada to appreciative fans. On her own, she is known to perform both solo or with a backing band. Whatever the format, however, her charming indie folk is sure to delight listeners who get a chance to hear her.
