Most music that comes out of Mexico tends to be stereotypical drivel that's almost uncomfortable to listen to unless you're throwing back Mexican beers, swinging a bat at a pinata or eating a burrito. The rock band Los Explosivos is a group that's a welcome change to the conventional bands that are typically heard in Latin-friendly institutions like taquerias, pinata stores and Hispanic bars. The band's sound is based around an easy to like proto-punk meets modern garage rock sound with defined guitar riffs and hook-friendly choruses. Los Explosivos predominantly sings in Spanish, but the group also has a few tracks with English-sung vocals.
