The Austin, Texas-based rock band, Lo-Pan, is named after a character in the 1986 action/comedy, Big Trouble in Little China. Comprised of four guys who share a mutual love of classic and psychedelic rock, the group has toured the United States a few times and made followers out of individuals who have caught its live performances. Formed in 2005, the quartet has a distinctively modern hard rock sound that never really panders for sympathy from folks who might consider the group's music to be too indigent.
