The Wiz

Adapted from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Wiz tells the story of Dorothy, the Tin Woodman, the Lion and the Scarecrow from African-American point of view. Using an all Black cast, the story strays from the original plot and comments on the African-American experience, while reaching a wide audience. Songs include "Funky Monkeys" and "If You Believe."
