The four-piece power pop group, Locksley, was formed in 2003 in Madison, Wisconsin. Though Madison is a lovely town with a thriving college scene thanks to the University of Wisconsin, the members of Locksley moved to New York in order to catch some attention in the Big Apple's bustling music scene. The ploy worked, and in 2005, the quartet released its eponymous debut EP. Shortly after its release, the group went on tour and started picking up some momentum, gaining notice amongst fans of independent rock music. Locksley's music is inviting and easy to listen to, with catchy courses and hook-filled guitar riffs. And even though the band has never broken out with mainstream audiences, it has managed to maintain a fairly legitimate pack of fans and followers.
