Whereas most Scandinavian metal bands dutifully follow the same old path, Norwegian metal band Kvelertak gleefully march to their own beat. Despite their blistering three guitar assault, the members of Kvelertak infuse elements of punk and classic rock that give their music a lighthearted buoyancy that, combined with the band's focus on its music's more melodic elements, makes Kvelertak infinitely more fun than the vast majority of its contemporaries. While still building a fanbase internationally, the band quickly gained traction at home with its vocalists making the unorthodox decision to sing in their native Norwegian.
