J*DaVeY

Los Angeles band J*DaVey is a true amalgamation of America's black music history, fusing everything from jazz and funk to hip-hop and R&B. Lead by singer Briana Cartwright, who performs under the pseudonym Jack Davey, J*DaVey combines an electronic, futuristic backdrop with the nostalgia of soul and R&B. While the male-female duo only formed in 2006, in 2007 it was invited by Prince to open for him at his 3121 club in Las Vegas, an invitation that naturally advanced the band's career and expanded its fan base.
