Ingebrigt Håker Flaten is a Norwegian bassist that specializes in the performance of both jazz and free jazz genres. Having successfully toured throughout the world as a jazz musician and ensemble leader since 1995, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten has built a reputation for himself as being one of the world's foremost improvisational talents. Despite working on numerous projects with various jazz ensembles, Flaten is perhaps best known as the leader of his eponymous quintet, comprised of members of diverse nationalities and talents that rival some of the greatest jazz musicians both past and present.
