The Music Man

Earning five Tony Awards for its original 1957 Broadway debut, Meredith Wilson's The Music Man tells the story of a con man named Harold Hill who travels from town to town, swindling locals out of their money. His life becomes complicated however, when he falls in love with a woman named Marian. Adapted for film as well as television, the classic story always includes the original production's most iconic songs including "Iowa Stubborn" and "Till There Was You," which was later famously covered by the Beatles.
