Grand Pianoramax

The experimental piano/drums jazz duo Grand Pianoramax initially started as a collaboration between Swiss pianist Leo Tardin and a rotating cadre of percussionists. Eventually drummer/bandleader Dominick Burkhalter signed up as Tardin's full-time partner in the endeavor. While the group often features guest rappers and other vocalists, at the core of Grand Pianoramax is the rhythmic interplay between Tardin's ever increasing electronically influenced, yet still fundamentally jazzy, keyboard lines and Burkhalter's signature avant-funk drumming.
