Frank Smith

Frank Smith is not a man, it's a band--and oddly enough not one of the four members is named Frank Smith or even simply Frank or Smith. The quintet started in Boston around 2001 but then relocated to Austin six years later in order to grasp a deeper feeling of Americana. The songs on every album are full of wailing mountain guitar moans, reverb and a sense of space akin to the sprawl of the Colorado River. The vocalist sings with a raspy beer soaked voice and has changed the lineup over the years for good reason because Frank Smith has only gotten stronger.
