Down With Webster is a Canadian alternative hip-hop group that blends frat-rock with nerdy party raps. The group formed in Toronto in 1998 and slowly built up a fan base, the results of which culminated with Gene Simmons of KISS and rap production mogul, Timbaland, both wanting to sign Down With Webster to their respective record labels. The seven-piece unit, which includes two MCs, a DJ, a hype man and live instrumentation, including drums, bass and guitar, eventually was signed to Universal Motown and released its debut album, Time to Win, Vol. 1, in 2009. Down With Webster's unabashedly glossy form of hip-hop-inspired pop/rock is sure to incite equally passionate love it or hate it opinions.
