DaVinci is an old-school style rapper from San Francisco. He was born and raised in the city's Fillmore district, the result of which led to many of his rhymes about growing up and seeing his neighborhood change frequently, often for worse. Gentrification and life on the streets are the more serious topics thrown into the mix amongst DaVinci's boastful raps about cars and women, while the beats behind him borrow from classic soul and smooth R&B. His debut album, The Day the Turf Stood Still, was released in 2010.
