Darren Hanlon is an indie pop singer/songwriter from Sydney. Before emerging as a solo artist, he had served as a backing guitarist or keyboardist for several Australian rock bands, including the Lucksmiths, the Dearhunters and the Simpletons. Starting in 1999, Hanlon began performs his quirky style of indie folk solo, eventually working his way up to tour his home country with the Magnetic Fields, the Violent Femmes and Billy Bragg. His songs can often be considered twee in their arrangements and are full of mellow instrumentation by way of quiet horn lines, ukuleles, acoustic guitars and occasional female backing harmonies. Hanlon broke through to a wider audience with his 2010 album, I Will Love You At All, which was produced by Adam Selzer, who'd previously worked with groups like She & Him and the Decemberists.
