Billy Harvey

Formerly of San Francisco-based band Flame, Bill Harvey was never a singer - but he was the band's primary songwriter. Deciding to try out his vocal chords, Harvey began playing solo around the Bay Area, but eventually decided Austin, Texas was a better environment for his new musical style. After relocating to to the Lone Star State in 2000, Harvey slowly began releasing EPs full of rich singer/songwriter folk songs colored by his past involvement in San Francisco psych. He finally gained somewhat of a national following with the release of his album Bearsick as well as for his quirky music videos that creatively mixed paper cut-outs with live action shots.
