After starting as a project for a few cousins living in Staten Island, who shared a mutual respect for kung fu movies and hip-hop, the Wu-Tang Clan quickly turned into one of the more credible rap acts after it released its debut LP, Enter the Wu-Tang, in 1993. The group is more of a rap collective than a group and nearly ever single one of its 10 members have gone on to receive considerable success as solo artists - specifically RZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard.
