Formed in an attic in Cincinnati, Ohio Bad Veins is a duo with a penchant for the catchy riffs and jangly pop hooks that allow indie rock acts to crossover to mainstream radio. While the duo was hailed as a breakout act just a few months after forming in 2006, the two musicians took their time creating their debut album, paying close attention to every production detail until they were satisfied with the outcome. The result of this perfectionism was an album released in 2009, full of rich orchestrations and tracks so polished and shiny they're almost blinding. While Bad Veins is just a two-piece outfit, the band is known for its live shows that feature matching military-inspired costumes and "Irene," a vintage reel-to-reel that allows the group to recreate the rich sound of its recorded tracks on stage.
