Apache Beat is a New York-based band that channels elements of experimental pop, indie rock and shoegaze to create an original style of music that's well suited for the ever-evolving music scene in the Big Apple. Formed in 2007, the group kicked around the NYC scene for a few years - honing its chops and playing a good amount of shows - before releasing its debut LP, Last Chants, in 2010. Helmed by singer/songwriter Ilirjana Alushaj, a female vocalist with a brash and uncompromising singing style, Apache Beat has show what it is capable of with its powerful concerts and budding studio releases; and with more time under its belt, the group will undoubtedly prove to be a fairly interesting band to emerge from the multifaceted New York music scene.
