Capitol Steps is an American political satire troupe that was originally formed by a group of Congressional staffers who began performing throughout Washington, D.C. in 1981. During the Reagan Administration, Capitol Steps captured an audience as it began spoofing American politics, primarily through the medium of song parodies. As the group's parodies started reaching further across the US, Capitol Steps went on to release over 30 albums in addition to its various television appearances and tours thematically centered on the current presidential administration.
