James Walker sings with a lisp that adds character to his songs like "Sound of Sense" where you can hear it distinctly. The group claims that the other five members joined Blood Pony in order to cheer Walker up after a botched 2009 solo gig where he felt like he had made a fool of himself. If that's truly the case than Walker walked away with a violinist, horn player, keyboardist, drummer and bassist after the ordeal. Two years later and stronger than ever Blood Pony released its debut Escapists independently.
