Johnny Rabb, a drummer that is capable of doing 1,000 drum strokes in less than 60 seconds, and Clay Parnell, an in-demand bass player originally from the group Brothers Past, formed BioDiesel around 2010. The guys decided it was time to form a fully-dedicated livetronica band with drum and bass sounds that are difficult to imagine as the product of a live musician and not programmed from a machine. Rabb is able to drum the way he does because of a certain technique called freehand, and coupled with Parnell's complex bass lines, BioDiesel is able to compete with any drum and bass programmer.
