Big Fat Snake got its name from an obscure Bob Dylan song named "Wiggle Wiggle." All five members of the group are from Denmark, but sing so confidently in English that it's actually a surprise to discover that the group is from overseas. Big Fat Snake was born out of a demo tape session by two of its founding members Anders Blichfeldt and Peter Viskinde in 1988, but didn't record its first official self-titled album until 1991. Viskinde unfortunately engaged in a difficult lawsuit with the other members of the group when he quit in 2009 and claimed he owned the rights to use the band's name, the lawsuit has since been settled and Anders continues to lead Big Fat Snake without his old friend and songwriting partner.
