Mamma Mia!

Based on songs by the Swedish pop group ABBA, Mamma Mia! tells the story of Donna and her daughter Sophie, a young girl and bride-to-be who is trying to discover the identity of her father before her wedding day. Drama and comedy ensue when three different men, all former lovers of her mother and potentially Sophie's father, arrive on the Greek island of Calicos, where the wedding is to take place. Mamma Mia! was an immediate hit after its West End premiere in 1999 and quickly made its way across the pond to Broadway theaters.
