When you're born and raised in Nashville the country music capital of the United States like Ben Shannon, it may be in your blood to write songs. According to the singer/songwriter it city is the only thing he thinks about and the Tennessee capital really shines through his extremely polished and clean sounding 2010 self-titled EP debut. On his albums he features a ten-piece band complete with pedal steel guitar and a string section, but live he often plays solo, purely just accompanying himself with harmonica and guitar or with a smaller five-piece ensemble of backing musicians.
